Best day before V-day; part 1

Last time, after reading a few entries of a friend's blog, I really thought that maybe, just maybe, I could do a poem too: WRONG! I have no abilities, therefore I deleted the only 2 sentences I'd written and started this new entry.

Yesterday was 13 of Feb, which means today is the real celebration of Valentine's day. A day that in many countries, including us, has been so commercialized that the celebration starts on the first day of the month and keeping everyone is too busy and concentrated in having something, anything that day or any day near the 14th) and can't think of anything else. But there are still some people working in important things that I would consider more important than wasting your time and money in days like this (when everything in more expensive just for being a "special day").

For example, my very special and beloved scout friends Tiche, Tochy and Alonso have their so expected event to launch La Red de Jovenes. Their presentation was at 6:30 but the whole event started at 5, that was our due hour to be at our Scout House. This is what happen before:

2:30 - I was having lunch with my family, Alonso called: they needed extra hands.
2:45 - Frodo and I met them at Quiznos, they were finishing their lunch and then we all started to fold some pocket booklets.
3:30 - We headed to Alonso's house to finish the rest of the work. Meanwhile, in the car, Tiche and I, we were folding what were going to be the gifts/souvenirs.
4:00 - There were 3 main things to do: fix the gifts which meant burn 50 CDs, instal the banners in the rollers and cut out some stickers.
4:06 - Problems: the banners were not the roller's size, they're way bigger. I cut my finger with a blade and the only CD burned was not working!!!!
4:30 - Almost finished... OR NOT! By this time we thought we'd finished but then we realized that there some of the folded gifts left in the car, so more CDs were needed and no time.
5:00 - Everything is done, we're getting ready but it's 5pm! we're supposed to be already at SH!
5:10 - Alonso drove like a wild man but we're on time, the whole thing had a delay due to technological problems Thank God!
...
6:20 to 7:00 - They had their presentation: EXCELLENT WORK!

Everything ended well, everyone loved it, special our Scout Chief. After this, comes part 2 of my story which is deciding where to celebrate such a day, but this story is as long as this one and I'm hungry. Maybe later this day I'll keep writing; anyways, today is 14 and I have nothing to do, no love plans.
